About Ross
Ross Sharp is a highly experienced property valuation professional widely regarded across the industry for his technical expertise and balanced commercial acumen. With more than 35 years’ experience across the Western Australian property industry, Ross is a Certified Practising Valuer, Licensed Valuer in Western Australia and Associate of the Australian Property Institute. Ross has built a distinguished career specialising in complex valuation and advisory matters across rural, agribusiness, residential and commercial asset classes.
Beginning his career in 1990 with Glendinning and Associates, Ross became a partner in 1997 and played a pivotal role in growing the business into one of Western Australia’s most successful valuation practices, employing more than 35 staff. In 2012, the practice merged with Hegney Property Group, forming one of the largest valuation businesses in Western Australia with operations extending into South Australia and strategic partnerships nationally through LMW, now Acumentis Ltd. Ross later served as Chairman of the Acumentis WA Board and in State Director roles within Acumentis, providing strategic leadership while continuing to focus on his core expertise in valuation and property consultancy.
Ross is an experienced Expert Witness who prepares expert evidence, mediates disputes and can provide testimony in Supreme and Family Court proceedings in Western Australia.
Ross has advised on a number of complex matters including large-scale horticultural operations, mining-related land acquisitions, development offset negotiations, environmental offset valuations, road widening compensation claims, retrospective capital gains tax valuations and litigation disputes involving all scales of agricultural holdings.
Ross has also completed a large volume of residential valuations throughout Perth Metro and Regional areas, for a mix of purposes including mortgage work, CGT assessments, settlements between parties in dispute, portfolio assessments and general hourly consultancy.
Throughout his career, Ross has maintained a reputation for delivering practical, independent and thoroughly researched advice across both metropolitan and regional Western Australia.

His ability to combine technical valuation expertise with commercial insight and strong interpersonal skills has made him a trusted advisor within the property profession and wider business community. Outside of his leadership and management responsibilities, Ross remains deeply committed to the valuation profession and regularly coordinates API endorsed CPD for Rural and Regional Valuers.
